Fans of heartfelt Emo Indie, you’re in luck this week! The Portland, Maine alternative band Acadia is back with their follow-up EP to 2016’s InFocus, appropriately titled All Heart— and it’s due out this Friday, 2/2. With two years passing between releases, it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that Acadia has shown immense growth on this latest release. Emotive and heartfelt, All Heart is exactly that… all heart; as some songs celebrate what it is to be in love, others twist the knife that may be stuck in it. Out just in time for Valentine’s Day, the 5 track EP is absolutely impassioned, and at times almost painfully moving as the EP depicts anything but the ideal. When singer Jamo sings of being in love, it’s the small things that he reminisces on, and on tracks like the gripping “Dryspell“, it’s the reality of the real struggles one faces in a relationship that haunts him. The EP is extremely real, and in that sense raw in how each song thoroughly documents both struggle and victory to instantly get the listener invested. Likewise, the sincere delivery of Acadia‘s emotive lyrics coupled with the melodic brilliance of the band, absolutely tugs at your heartstrings and doesn’t let go for the entire EP. Through All Heart, Acaida has shown their growth as an act as well as their undeniable talent to convey absolute raw emotion in a way that is as sincere as it is poetic. If you’re a fan of emotionally passionate indie rock, or even bands like Boston Manor, then definitely check out Acadia‘s new EP All Heart when it’s released on Friday, 2/2.
