Flint Eastwood; Going On Tour, “Monster” Video, and an EP You Need To Listen To

Today I have amazing news for those of you who are like me and love epic, empowering, and bold indie pop; fearless songstress Flint Eastwood recently dropped her video for “Monster” off of her latest EP Broke Royalty and is about to go on a killer tour.

For those of you who do not know about the Detroit based sibling duo of Jax Anderson (who goes by Flint on stage) and Syblyng, it’s time to catch up, as with a sound so powerful, their fierce talent, and clear ambition, you’ll be seeing a lot more of them in the near future. Having already gained acclaim from publications like Billboard and The Chicago Tribune, while also securing spots supporting acts such as Phantogram, PVRIS, and Lights, Flint Eastwood came out of the gate running after dropping their first EP Small Victories in 2015. That same year Jax helped co-found Assemble Sound— a collaboration studio space for Detroit musicians to meet, find resources, and ultimately create good art. They raised funds, purchased a church from the 1870’s, and renovated it as a community. With this ambition and effort in mind, Flint Eastwood has made such the impact that now their song from that first EP, “Find What You’re Looking For” is being used in promotion for the new Ford Mustang; a BIG deal for the Motor City group!

More recently however, Flint Eastwood released their latest EP Broke Royalty last year, and it’s nothing short of powerful, groove-filled, and utterly regal. The release features production support from MUTEMATH’s Paul Meany, as well as a track with principal BØRNS collaborator Tommy English. It’s the kind of EP that you listen to to empower yourself, reaffirm your own potential, and encourages you to get what you want with its bigger than life sound that is absolutely irresistible. At the start of the year, Flint Eastwood’s empowerment anthem “Queen” was released ahead of the Women’s Marches across the nation, which goes to show just how much their music stands for. To get just a taste of what I’m talking about, along with a healthy dose of Flint Eastwood‘s insane visuals, they recently dropped their music video for the infectious track “Monster“, which you can watch below.

So now that you’re hooked, the most important news here is also the most exciting– Flint Eastwood is about to go on tour with NYDGE and once again, PVRIS! We here at Babetalk are excited to catch them at their NYC date in February, and we’ll share all of the action with you then, but if you can, do yourself a favour and make it out to see them! We hope to see you there! If you can’t, we’ve posted Broke Royalty below for you to stream, to help you with your FOMO.
